Those with unconventional taste will love them: tré's music is bold, audacious and creative. Bernhard Bamert (trombone), Lukas Mantel (drums) and Thomas Lüthi (saxophone) together create a sound that refuses to be pigeonholed.
tré have discovered a style all of their own, a compelling blend of humour and joyful improvisation: Mardi Gras interludes alternate with bebop lines, free jazz elements pop up in dialogue with folksy melodies. They also enjoy making playful, ironic references to the (musical) past. "Our parents 'did' rebellion in 1968, so that's out for us. But what is effective now is taking existing music apart and reassembling it in a different way. Superficially this means we can do nothing - or everything."
tré's music is a witty amalgam of a range of styles: loud and raucous, then quiet and subtle.
